VICINI/TAPEET S. S. 15

02/2016

With its young, versatile, easy-to-wear mood, the Vicini-Tapeet collection for S.S. 16 is eye-catching and anything but banal. A daywear collection with shapes, materials and structures inspired by the ‘70s. Ultra-flat gladiator sandals, ultra-light wedges and colourful platforms are brought back to life in a unique and original take on vintage fashion.

The materials
For the uppers, tassels and patent alternate with laminated fabrics and mirror-effect leathers in gold and silver. For the soles, cork takes centre stage. Lace-up or natural, alone or combined with rubber and micro, it is the perfect solution for providing comfort and stability.

The colours
Red, green, blue, yellow and orange. The Vicini collection for S.S. 16 dons all the colours of the summer with a nod to metallic hues. Bursting with brightness and energy, it plays with unusual but well-balanced combinations.

The structures and soles
Wedges, platforms and monoblock soles are the stars of much of the collection. Whether dizzyingly high or mini versions, they make the sandals, sleepers and lace-ups unique. The shapes are compact and rounded and without any angularity. The range is completed with stable heels of different heights and ultra-flat models.

Vicini/Tapeet F. W .15

07/2015

The mood
New lines and shapes for a constantly fresh daytime look. Comfortable, practical, versatile, easy-to-wear. That’s what Vicini-Tapeet offers for F/W ‘15. Urban-rock inspiration, attention to detail, the pursuit of the new and the quality of the materials: these are what the brand has always been known for.

The materials
Nappa leather, suede and subtle hints of patent leather alternate with warm sheepskins and opaque snake prints. Gold and silver mirrored studs give street fashion a touch of glam. Rubber and lightweight mesh take center stage for the soles, while gold and nickel metallics brighten the accessories.

The colors
Intense, textured, natural. The Vicini palette is ultra-matte. Black, leather, tobacco and hazelnut are the dominant shades. The big new addition is the mirror effect on the gold and silver studs. There are sporadic flashes of red, yellow and electric blue.

The structures and designs
The real stars this season are combat boots and amphibious styles. Lightened, revamped, mirrored, with leather, mesh or rock soles. Street couture has become trendy and urban. Exposed metallic mesh, buckles, welts and selvedges are the latest fashion details. The bases are sturdy and grounded, with heels making way for wedges and block heels.

WHAT’S NEW

Vicini/Tapeet Spring – Summer 2015

07/2015

The mood
is pure 1970s. In both collections, the real stars are wedges and platforms. Smoky, studded, in leather or fabric, ultra-light or solid and compact, they are reinventing the glamor of the past in new and fresh tones. A versatile and easy-to-wear daily fashion.

Kidskin,
suede, patent leather and calfskin are used for the uppers. The designs include spring colors or have an exotic feel like reptile skin while golden and nickle metals add some shine to the accessories. Cork and micro designs reign supreme along with leather or fabric.

Colors
The natural leather tones, black and papyrus work with hints of pastels and soft-neon flashes. Vicini’s proposal is a careful dance interrupted every so often by bursts of bright red. Tapeet’s color scheme is alive, fresh and bright. Sometimes it seems fluorescent but is always tactful.

The structures and designs
of the Vicini collection are a game of opposition. Tapered shapes and thin heels are alternated with gentle lines and stable and well-founded structures while platform and dizzying stiletto heels exist in the same collection along with ultra-flats. There is also the micro-wedge of the very new bag ballet flats. Compact and round structures for Tapeet without any angles. There are no points. There is a wide-range of heights: from flats to 120-mm maxi-wedges.

WHAT’S NEW

TAPEET Fall/Winter 2014-15

09/2014

The mood:
urban rock is the watchword in a collection dominated by biker boots. This is street couture with trendy, metropolitan vibes. Chains and laminated leather-covered welts become fashion accessories. The mix of materials and metals tones down feisty punk-metal toes. Stilettos are conspicuous by their absence, ousted by mid-height wedges and solid, chunky heels.

Materials, soles:
nappa leather, suede, calfskin in matt and brushed, wet-look versions for uppers. Rubber comes to the fore in lug soles and wedges. Practical and hard-wearing, making it perfect for chilly winter months, both in classic and ultralight micro versions.

Color range:
black and white hold court, alongside the silver tone of metals. Red and bluette provide the only touches of color.

Shapes:
rounded, enveloping, tapered. Sharp, angular styles are set aside and the few remaining pointed toes are soft and understated.

WHAT’S NEW

VICINI Fall/Winter 2014-15

09/2014

The trend:
reinvent lines and shapes without ever losing touch with the past.

Colors:
the undisputed star of Vicini is black, proposed in countless versions: shiny, opaque, napped, sueded, velvety. Rubbing shoulders with black, shades of red and burgundy, deep lapis lazuli blue and natural tones of ash and mist.

Materials:
patent leather, suede, nappa leather, calfskin. And of course tartan, ponyskin and spotted camouflage patterns.

Structures and soles:
playful alternation of pointy designs and soft, tapered lines. Killer heels and covered platforms appear alongside mid-heights and leather monoblock models. At the opposite extreme, ultra-flats with rubber soles.

Vicini Spring-Summer 2014

02/2014

Woman:
Creative and curious. The one who loves to bring a charismatic retake on the classic.

Colors:
A dance in time with the pastel and natural shades, to the rhythm of bright, vivacious flashes with a metallic, mirror effect. In the limelight, white & blue sailing-inspired stripes and bright tones for the suede.

Materials:
Patent leather, suede, fabrics, and calf hide. The materials meet, come together, and blend. Matelassé meets thread, prints meet plaited genuine leather and paint meets leather.

Forms, Borders:
A lot more importance is given to the mid heel to enhance single soles and square toe wedges. Two extremes: the world of flats masterfully reinterpreted and the geometric, compact heel of platform sandals.
